MYRTLE BEACH BIKEWEEK 2010

Working with a disaster of a Mayor within City Limits of Myrtle Beach, the rally still goes on as best it can. One thing is for sure, the Island is beautiful, the weather is terrific, and the North & South ends of the Island as still as wild as ever. Now we all know that the economy is playing havoc with the rally attendance everywhere, and to make things worse the Mayor of Myrtle Beach has all but kicked out the bikers, but the last laugh will be on him when trying to explain to the tax payers why the city lost more than 68 million dollars in revenue by making the bikers leave.

This particular trip I stayed on the beach with the guys of Eastcoast Bikeworks, http://www.eastcoastbikeworks.com. The 8 bedroom 9 bath house couldn’t have been more beautiful. Each day I would head up to Wimmer Performance http://www.wimmerperformance.com where I was available to take images for those who were in need & I also did a little shop shooting for Lee Wimmer while there. Mid day I headed back to the house to prep for the evening at the biker bars. The early part of the week was a little relaxed but as Thursday rolled around, in came the bikes that we were all hoping would arrive. Suck Bang Blow was running some great bull riding competitions with topless riders with a large oil wrestling pool adjacent, and over at the Broken Spoke fire breathing hotties were lighting up the area while the best bands on the Island were tearing up the stage.

Beach side was also, in my opinion, a great place to be this year. Heading East on Atlantic Ave there were a couple of killer bars just before hitting the beach, as you can see the guys were having a little fun doing wheelies with their choppers… that’s right, their choppers. I also did a few magazine shoots along the beach with some incredible bikes, a few Redneck’s and one amazing bagger from PA. When we wanted to head up North to some of the other biker destinations, we simply rode around the City Limits and had no problems. All in all the rally was a lot of fun, the bikers were great, and I’m looking forward to doing it all again next year.
