A while back Cycle Source Magazine announced the contest to win a trip to Nova Scotia with Bean’re to hit the Wharf Rally. The moment I heard that I emailed Chris Callen of Cycle Source Magazine and stated that I would like to go along on motorcycle with Bean’re as a Photo Journalist. The idea went over well and next week it’s finally here. If I can get on the net in the evenings, I will post as many pics as I can because knowing this crew, it’s gonna be a blast. The year long sweepstakes called the Bean’re Biker Bailout , sponsored by Cycle Source Magazine and The Wharf Rat Rally in Digby Nova Scotia is now officially over. The grand prize winner wins an all expense paid trip to ride from their house to Digby, Nova Scotia along with myself an a group of other guests and members of the press. We will have parties waiting for us along the way beginning with a BBQ at Indian Larry Motorcycles in Brooklyn NY. Also while there everyone in our group with get their oil changed with the best oil there is- Spectro full synthetic. There will also be gift bags containing shirts and gloves from our other sponsors- Baker Drive train, Avon Tires, Spectro oil, QWI nerve protecting glooves and Indian Larry merchandise. After an afternoon of BBQ we will secure the bikes at the shop and subway hop into the city for a night like no other in New York City. In the morning we will ride 220 miles to Boston, Mass where a party Sponsored by Shorty Inc and HD performance will have a lobster boil and a band waiting for us. We will spend the night and get up early to make the next leg of the trip to Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada where we will have motel rooms waiting for us and we will meet up with Beltdrive Betty and her entourage ridding in The Conga line across all of Canada for breast awareness. We will all get on the ferry in the morning and cross into Digby, Nova Scotia On Wednesday afternoon, the beginning of The Wharf Rat Rally- Sept 1st through the 6th ( Labor day weekend). All week we will stay at a resort (with haunted tours of Canada’s oldest cemetery) and enjoy one of the friendliest towns I have ever been to, Digby, Nova Scotia. Not just a great motocycle rally but a sleep little coastal town where we will also enjoy things like whale watching. Nova Scotia also has one of the top motorcycle routes in North America- The Cabot Trail.
The Grand prize winner for this trip is Michael Flint of Oneida, New York. He will win all of the above plus a few more goodies that will make it an even sweeter deal.
The runners up will receive a nice gift basket with shirts, hats and gift certificates. Everyone will receive a subscription to Cycle Source Magazine.
